God's hand in things...
This is an old entry that i started but never finished:
Oh I forgot to post what happend last weekend. This will be short and sweet.
So practically the very next day after it was determined that we would be not living with Becca for another year, last Saturday, I was determined to get a lead on a place.
Becca found a apartment complex in Phoexnixille that was in our price range. They were the only one opened on the weekend. I called up the leasing consultant Saturday morning and she said that she had a couple of appointments that afternoon but to come right on over. So I did. When I got there she was busy with prospective residents. So she gave me the keys to a one bedroom and a two bedroom for me to look at myself. I wasn't that impressed with the one bedroom, but I loved the two-bedroom and knew that I knew that I needed to call dibs on it that day because someone else was to look at it too and I knew that if I didn't we might not have a place to live. There was a slight sense of urgency.
I went back and the leasing consultant still had to show off apartments, so she gave me a application and I called Nina who was at work at the time to tell her all about the apartment and try to convince her that I needed to just go ahead and pay the security deposit whether it would work out or not.
So when I go inside to tell her I definatly wanted to take the apartment, there was another lady in the office with her, who wanted the same apartment. Talk about face to face confrontation.
The leasing consultant said that because I had arrived first, I had first choice if I wanted it even though the lady, Annabelle, had made an appointment and drove 3 hours to get there. She needed to have her son and 3 other boys move in, in late August for school.
So to bring you up to date....(and in a nut shell) I decided to let her have the original apartment and we obviously ended up with another one for cheaper. We are happy here and everthing worked out with a happy ending.
