Better late then never....

At the request of Becca.....

I can not believe how busy I've been this past month. I'm struggling to remember the last time I had time to myself. I returned from Slidell last week and have been on the go ever since and never really had a chance to post anything about it.

What an experience it was! I really got to see God moving in awesome and amazing ways while I was down there. The work was long and hard but the pay-off was sooo worth it. There was 19 of us from Calvary Fellowship on our team. We drove down in 3 vans and 2 cargo vans. I was in the van that just happend to blow a tire in the middle of the night. The driver managed to put on the spare donut while a police officer managed to supervise him the whole time. We were detained only for a while. We were able to have the tire replaced in a jiffy the next morning. We stayed at Faith Bible Church on cots in the sancturary for the week. We worked from 8:30 am to 5 pm or later with only a break for lunch, mostly hanging drywall and spackling. My body would ache at the end of the day for a while. We showered at a local athletic club The food that was served to us for dinner was delicious and we spent the wee hours before we turned in playing speed scrabble, or dominos, or oh "heck". We met some really awesome people while we were there. I must admit that I really miss it a lot. Every time I do mission work my heart is most joyful. I feel the most content. I wouldn't mind going again soon if I could make it fly with my schedule.

Anyway....I hope all had a Merry Christmas!! Have a Happy New Year!

Horray for SNOW!!

Snow is only worth it when it gets you a day off of work!! It is so awesome that I got the day off because this has been a long, busy week!
Nina, Becca and I are enjoying a nice relaxing morning thanks to mother natures early Christmas present.

Well, I should say that currently only Becca and I are relaxing and I am making Nina slave over a hot stove to make me pancakes. Being the good roommate she is, she relunctantly agreed to it. But her pancakes are the best I've ever had and today is a perfect day for it.

I'm starting to get excited because I leave for Slidell tonight and I'm happy that I have the whole day to relax and not feel rushed before I leave. I will report back when I return when I get myself together. Please remember to keep praying for the trip!

Have a happy snow day!
